The sustainability, national security, and war related events listed below are offered to assist site visitors, customers and members who are searching for conferences to attend, associations to join, or conference exhibition and advertising opportunities. The events on this page focus on diverse aspects of national security and war and how, although often not recognized as such, our security has important connections to environmental sustainability. For example, when a nation's energy supply is more sustainable (localized and renewable), the pressure to go to war to protect an energy supply abroad is reduced. Civil wars and refugee-related military conflicts also increase when human populations are threatened by a diminished supply of food, water, and other natural resources due to climate change, overpopulation, or more resource consumptive diets. Events cover such topics as geopolitics, conflict resolution, nuclear proliferation, disarmament, peace studies, resource wars, water wars, energy wars, terrorism, and activism.
