Susan
Burns founded and manages Natural Strategies LLC, a consulting firm
focusing on environmental and sustainability strategy and implementation.
Before starting her consulting practice she was senior associate at
ERM West, where she co-founded Environmental Video Products. She is
currently serving on the board of the Portland based Center for Watershed
and Community Health. Burns is an expert on how sustainability principles
are used to enhance environmental management systems. Her expertise
includes best practices research and benchmarking, The Natural Step
framework, and performance measurement and reporting. She speaks on
the application of these concepts to business and the financial markets
as well as more broadly on sustainability and its relationship to
global business and national security.
