Jennifer has performed with a cappella groups, acoustic duos and trios, rhythm and blues bands, and a country rock band. Her performances are influenced by her early exposure to blues, jazz, gospel and big band sounds. Jennifer's first studio efforts involved providing backup vocals for the Narrow Gauge Band's CD produced by Doug Haywood (an original member of Jackson Browne's band) as well as for Cup-a-Jo's latest CD Enough's Enough. In addition to her musical background, Jennifer is the Executive Director of a national nonprofit called the Simplicity Forum. It is a multidisciplinary think tank of leaders committed to "achieving and honoring simple, just and sustainable ways of life." She is also the Co-Founder and Director of Education for the Green Heart Institute. It helps people understand the global impact of their choices, connect with their values, and live more sustainably. The Eco-Tones' shows are versatile and range from short forty-five minute presentations or keynotes, to longer two-hour performance-presentations, to day-long in-depth workshops covering a variety of sustainable living topics including energy use, transportation, food choices, consumption, simplicity, community, and interdependence.
