An award-winning author and journalist, Linda Mason Hunter is a nationally recognized expert in environmentally healthy homes and green lifestyles. She has researched and written eleven books as well as hundreds of articles and tips for green living.
She has written three books focusing on green and healthy homes - The Healthy Home: An Attic-To-Basement Guide To Toxin-Free Living, Green Clean: The Environmentally Sound Guide to Cleaning Your Home (with Mikki Halpin), and Creating a Safe & Healthy Home. She wrote and produced five home renovation and remodeling books for Better Homes and Gardens books and Ortho books in the 1990s, and teamed with Matthew Schoenherr and Wendy Jordan to write two more in 2005 and 2007.
Her articles have appeared in such mass circulation magazines as Better Homes and Gardens and Family Circle as well as in such environmental and housing related publications as Home Energy, Natural Home, Mother Earth News, Eco@Home, Fine Home Building, Ultimate Home Design, and Utne Reader.
Hunter's work has earned national recognition, with articles or book reviews in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Newsweek, and many other print publications as well as interviews and appearances on ABC's Good Morning America, CNN's Daybreak and Earth Watch, CNBC, MSNBC, the CBC and many other radio and television programs. One of her healthy home plans was featured in the PBS television series "Hometime." In addition, she hosts her own daily radio program "Green Zone." It provides a wealth of tips to promote sustainability with daily living choices and actions.
