She has served as editor of The Amicus Journal (Natural Resources Defense Council) as well as of Not Man Apart (Friends of the Earth) and EA Magazine (Environmental Action). In addition, Lyman was an Adjunct Professor at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art (teaching a seminar on "Environmentalism in the Urban Context"), and she organized a 4-month symposium entitled "American Icons, Global Environment" for Sarah Lawrence College. periodicals as Land and People, This Old House, Organic Style,
Sierra, Orion, and Orion Afield. She is the author of two
